About Yvonne Young

Lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA

A graduate of University of South Florida, Yvonne is a visual artist working as a Printmaker and watercolor Painter. Her work has been shown at the Tampa Museum of Art,    Stirling Art Gallery, Dunedin, FL,    Morean Arts Center, St Petersburg,      Vinoy Renaissance Hotel, St Petersburg and St Pete Artworks Gallery, St Petersburg.

I have been painting with watercolors and creating wood and linoleum block relief prints for 25 years. More recently I have created Intaglio, Collographs, and Monoprints. I’m a lover of nature and creatures. All my work begins with my connection to the natural world.

As a printmaker, I enjoy all printmaking techniques for different reasons. The process of printmaking is laborious but a labor of love. I savor every magical step and technique that culminates in the finished artwork. In our present culture, where mass production and sameness are the norm I thrive on creating a unique original product by hand.
